Waste & Recycling

Seoul sorts carefully. Thank you for helping us keep the alley clean.

Hand-drawn guide: separate trash into three bags — yellow food waste bag, white general waste bag, and a recycling bag — then leave the bags at the collection point at either end of the alley outside Naksan Balcony.

General waste

Use the white general trash bags. Anything not recyclable and not food goes here.

Recycling

  • Plastic — rinsed, labels off
  • Cans & glass
  • Paper & cardboard — flattened
  • Vinyl & plastic film

Can be disposed of in any bag.

Food waste

Drain liquids and put scraps in the small yellow bags. No bones, shells, or tea bags — those are general waste.
